NYC Haul - Anastasia Beverly Hills Customized Eyeshadow Palette

Welcome to my first blog post! I'll be reviewing a purchase from my recent trip to NYC - the customized four-pan shadow palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills. I'm so excited about this as not only is it my second ABH purchase ever made (first being the notorious and fabulous Brow Wiz) but I got to choose what shades I wanted in my palette. This was pretty difficult as there were dozens of gorgeous shimmers and mattes to choose from, but a few stood out.

I'm more of a 'neutrals' kind of girl when it comes to makeup, I love warm bronze, nudes and reds to give a real sultry but natural look.
I absolutely love the shades I picked out; two matte shades and two with subtle gold pigment running through, I thought these would be perfect for night-time makeup.

From top left to bottom right:
Birkin - warm beige mauve shade in ultra-matte
Sienna - earthy brown shade in ultra-matte
RTW - peachy fawn shade
Dark Chocolate - dark brown with shimmer

These shadows were selling individually for $12 each in Sephora (approx £7), however to purchase 4 with the palette it was just $40 which I thought was a bargain for what I was getting. This is around £28.

They can all be found here:

I tried Birkin and RTW out on my lid today and found they were rich in colour and not a lot of product was needed at all - especially for a light makeup look. I'm excited to try out the whole palette together and possibly put up a post on how it looks and how I created it (within the next few days).

Look out for more posts on purchases I made in NYC including bits from the store '& other stories'; my new obsession!
